Gaming Operators Gamble on Debt Collections and Win!

Since specialized debt recovery services were introduced to the online gaming industry earlier this year, operators have reaped the rewards of converting previously written off player debt into bottom line black ink. In the past, online casino and sportsbook operators accepted credit card chargebacks, declined e-wallet and ACH payments as a cost of doing business. Now, delinquent players are finding themselves faced with repayment demands in order to avoid costly credit bureau reports, and operators are gaining ground in the fight against fraud. Steve Reddy, Head of Business Development at DRP Services Inc. notes that current collections activities are yielding encouraging results for operators after the first month in the collections cycle. “We provide operators with results that go directly to their bottom line, while bringing a badly needed service to the industry. It’s a win/win situation all around,” states Reddy. For more information, contact SteveR@drpservices.net.

Marketing Tips

Improve Customer Loyalty through Proactive Communications

"Improving customer loyalty" is the ultimate raison d'etre of the call center. As economic and regulatory pressures continue to squeeze the enterprise, the need to ensure customer satisfaction has made the art of customer communications a tenuous proposition,” writes EnvoyWorldWide's Ben Levitan. Too often, customer service professionals are consumed with efforts to extinguish the fires of dissatisfaction. Few call centers have embraced the idea of proactive customer care -- the ability to reach out to customers before they have a chance to become dissatisfied. As call centers become more engrained in strategic initiatives, they require innovative thinking and models that leverage proactive customer outreach programs that are cost-effective and efficient, mitigating customer service issues before they arise. Customer notification services can be ideal for companies looking to deliver customer-welcome calls, payment reminders, new service/upgrade information and other personalized and value-added touches.

Help Wanted

A local business had a sign in the window, stating the following: "HELP WANTED. Must be able to type, must be good with a computer and must be bilingual. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer."

A short time afterwards, a spotted dog trotted up to the window, saw the sign and went inside. He looked at the receptionist and wagged his tail, then walked over to the sign, looked at it and whined. The receptionist got the office manager, who looked at the dog and was surprised, to say the least. The dog jumped up on the chair and stared at the manager.

The manager said, "I can't hire you. The sign says you have to be able to type." The dog jumped down, went to the typewriter and proceeded to type out a perfect letter. The manager was stunned, but then told the dog, "The sign says you have to be good with a computer."

The dog went to the computer and produced a sample spreadsheet and database and presented them to the manager. The manager was totally dumb-founded! He looked at the dog and said, "I realize that you are a very intelligent dog and have some interesting abilities. However, I still can't give you the job."

The dog jumped down and went to the sign and put his paw on the statement “Equal Opportunity Employer”. The manager said, "Yes, but the sign also says that you have to be bilingual."

The dog looked at him straight in the face and said, "Meow."
